Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about booking your Ranthambore safari and tour packages.

Safari Booking

How far in advance should I book?
Forest permits are limited per zone per slot and sell out quickly during peak season (November to February). We recommend booking at least 60 days ahead where possible. For last-minute bookings, we can check cancellation availability or tatkal permits.
What documents are required for booking?
You need a government-issued photo ID for each visitor. Acceptable IDs include: Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving License (for Indian nationals), or Passport (for foreign nationals). ID proof is mandatory at the forest entry gate.
Can I choose my safari zone?
You can state a preference when booking, but the final zone allotment is determined by the forest department's system at the time the permit is confirmed. Zones are allocated based on real-time availability.
What are the safari timings?
Safaris run twice daily — morning and evening. Morning safaris typically start around 6:00-7:00 AM and evening safaris around 2:00-3:00 PM. Exact timings vary by season. Each safari lasts approximately 3 to 3.5 hours.
What is the difference between Jeep and Canter safari?
A Jeep Safari (Gypsy) is a 6-seater open 4x4 vehicle offering a more private and intimate experience, ideal for photographers and small groups. A Canter Safari is a 20-seater open bus — more economical and great for families and larger groups. Both cover the same zones and have equal chances of tiger sightings.
Is the park open year-round?
No. Ranthambore National Park is closed during the monsoon season, typically from July to September. Safaris operate from October to June. The park is closed on specific weekdays — Zones 1-5 are closed on Wednesdays and Zones 6-10 are closed on Tuesdays.

Tour Packages

What is included in the tour packages?
Our packages include open jeep safaris, accommodation in AC rooms on sharing basis, pick-up and drop from Jaipur railway station or airport, meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea/coffee as per the itinerary), all forest permissions, guide charges, and expertise charges. Specific inclusions vary by package.
Do you offer group discounts?
Yes. Our packages are priced per person with better rates for larger groups. For example, the 2 Nights / 3 Days package is ₹23,800 per person for a group of 4 and ₹19,800 per person for a group of 6. Larger groups can contact us for custom pricing.
Are there discounts for children?
Children aged 5-10 years sharing a room with their parents are charged at 75% of the adult cost. There are no charges for children below 5 years of age. This applies across all our tour packages.
Can I get a luxury package?
Yes, luxury packages are tailor-made on request. We can arrange premium accommodation, private vehicles, exclusive naturalist guides, and customized itineraries based on your preferences and budget.
What is the Golden Triangle tour?
Our 5 Nights / 6 Days Golden Triangle tour covers Delhi, Agra (Taj Mahal), Jaipur, and Ranthambore. It includes hotel stays, sightseeing, breakfasts, and Ranthambore safari — a perfect blend of India's heritage and wildlife.

Safari Experience

What are the chances of seeing a tiger?
Ranthambore has one of the highest tiger sighting rates in India, especially in Zones 1-5. During peak season (Nov-Feb), sighting probability is 70-80% over 2-3 safaris. Our expert guides know the tiger territories and waterhole patterns to maximize your chances.
What other wildlife can I see?
Besides the Bengal tiger, Ranthambore is home to leopards, sloth bears, hyenas, jackals, crocodiles, sambar deer, chital (spotted deer), nilgai, wild boar, langurs, and over 300 species of birds including crested serpent eagles, kingfishers, and migratory waterfowl.
Can I bring my camera?
Yes, but professional camera equipment (lenses, DSLRs with large telephoto lenses) requires a camera fee of INR 250 payable at the forest gate. Mobile phone photography is allowed but phone usage is restricted during the safari as per Supreme Court orders.
What should I wear for the safari?
Wear comfortable neutral-coloured clothing (khaki, olive, brown, beige). Avoid bright colours and perfumes. Carry a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a light jacket for morning safaris (it can get chilly). Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
